Body-Based Manipulation

Body manipulation is also called contact juggling. Contact juggling is the juggling act of manipulating objects exclusively with body movements. The objects remain in contact with the jugglers body the entire time and the prop moves around their body. There are two types of contact juggling isolations and rollings. Isolations are when you move your body under the prop to give the impression that the prop isn’t moving. Rolling is using momentum and body movements to roll the props around your body.

Acrylic Contact Ball

Usually a clear acrylic plastic, but some do have colors added to them. Contact balls are used to roll around different parts of the body some aspects are making the ball move over your body or making your body move under the ball.

Dragon Staff

Dragon Staffs are double tipped poles with kevlar or plastic blades. The Flow artist will use their body to spin the staff around their body usually arms, neck, and back. Creating a wonderful sight.
